We're going to conduct interviews in class on Thursday. The objective in addition to honing your interview skills is to find out about this person in general, and about their use of the internet in particular for a imagined larger project on what tech savvy people actually DO online--their favorite tools, ways to play, interesting things to explore, and how they make decisions about where to spend their time. So this is a general interview where you hope to gather compelling anecdotes, information etc. But you can’t just let them do all the work by saying things like “Tell me what you do online.” Decide what areas you are going to probe based on what you know about their background, interests, personality, etc. Get them to tell you stories about themselves that reveal some of how they think and what they do online.
1) Write a series of questions.
2) Go back and edit them.
3 )Do the interview in class.
